Dhokla in Mango Pulp

This is a unique recipe made using mango pulp. Dhokla is quite a common dish for in India. It is preferable to make this during the mango season.


Hapoos Mango pulp 1 boul
Gram (besan) 1 boul
Salt as per taste
Soda 1 tea spoon
Citric Acid 1 tea spoon
Coconut milk in proportion
Jaggery (Gur) 2 tea spoons


1: Mix the gram flour and mango pulp, add salt and citric acid in it and keep the mixture for some time.

2: Meanwhile spread a little bit of edible oil on the inner surface of a utensil in which the Dhokla will be cooked.

3: Add Soda in the mixture and quickly add the same into the utensil.

4: Cook in a pressure cooker without the whistle for about 8-10 minutes.

5: Mix the coconut milk and jaggery to make a good paste to serve along with the Dhoklas.

TIP: You can also fry the Dhokla like a regular dish and serve it along with coconut milk and a jaggery paste.
